Sparkle and Shine - 5 Ways to Revitalize That Dingy Room

Some sparkle and shine can give any room a facelift. Glass and glasses are the way to get that stylish, glamorous look. While a demitasse chandelier is a beautiful choice, the cost of bone
can be rather extravagant. There are other less precious ways to get that shine without spending a truckload of a plutocrat.

1. Glasses

Glasses are an excellent way to add light and space to a room. Glasses reflect and project light into a room, making it lighter and brighter. Glasses are essential in small apartments. They tend to open up the space and make it feel larger, airier and less claustrophobic. Try using an adeptly arranged collection of small, decoratively framed glasses in place of other wall art.

2. Glassware

Prominently display collections of clear or transparent multicolored dinnerware or cut glass on mantles and shelves. Numerous glass dishes and holders can be converted into candle holders or used for floating candles. Nothing adds sparkle like candles and glass. Glass holders can also be filled with shells or glass marbles or can be used as flower vases. A collection of dinnerware, each piece holding a single flower, can make a beautiful display.

3. Glass or Mirrored Tile

still, you might consider tiling the compass with a glass pipe, If you have a fireplace. You can also pipe the compass by making a mosaic of broken glass pieces. In seasons when erecting a fire isn’t necessary, glass candleholders placed in the firebox give the vision of a fluttering fire without the heat. You can indeed place a glass against the reverse of the firebox to multiply the goods of the fluttering night.

Two Simple DIY systems

They are a couple of easy systems that anyone can do to put a little sparkle in any room. Both systems use strings of Christmas lights. White lights look best, but you can choose any color you prefer.

1. Bottle Light- Take wine bottles, ewers or vases( they should have a lid or cork on the top.) Stuff them with a beachfront of lights with the draw end of the cored left outdoors from under the cork. Plug it in and enjoy. ( You can use them with or without the blinker). For an added touch of color, you can tie some fabric or a strip around the neck of the bottle or vase or indeed intertwine the fabric around the lights on the inside of the bottle.
2. Lit Branch- Pick out a seductive bare branch with a plenitude of outgrowths attached. ( It can be as small or as large as you like) Place the branch upright in a glass vessel and fill in around it with glass florist’s pebbles in your choice of colors. Embellish the branch with a beachfront of white lights. Try to get lights on as numerous of the outgrowths as possible. Plug it in and enjoy.

These systems are also great on a covered veranda or sundeck for night out-of-door lighting. ( Do not leave them outdoors unless you use out-of-door rated lights.
Still, you’ll find numerous effects that you can use to bring a bit of redundant sparkle and shine to your décor in any season. If you just look around your home.
