10 Things You Can DIY With Corks

Big wine drinker? Do you have old cork coasters? We have ten clever ways to reuse cork coasters all over your home. It’s amazing how versatile something so simple can be!

1. Cork Magnets

You will need some magnet strips, glue, and corks. Then, cut the corks in half along their length and then apply adhesive to each magnet strip. Place the magnet strip flat side down. That’s it.

2. Drawer Knobs

Grab some champagne corks and screws. Take out any drawer knobs that are not needed and replace them with pointed screws. Use a screwdriver to hold a screw in position. Next, press a champagne cork on the screw. Turn in a clockwise direction. Repeat this process for all drawers. You are now ready to install your new drawer knobs.

3. Planters

A puncher, a paring knife, magnets, and small succulents are all you will need. Make a hole in the middle of each cork. Push hard to attach magnets to each cork. Then fill each cork with soil. Finally, place a small succulent in each hole. Attach the planters to a metal surface by adding a few drops of water.

4. Schmuck Frame

Are you looking for ways to organize your jewelry in a neat way? You only need a frame you like. It can be painted. Make corks of long, circular shapes and glue them to the frame. Wrap the corks with your favorite fabric if you wish to personalize it.

5. Pinboard

You will need cork tiles, white paint, a brush, painter’s tape, and picture hanging strips. Tape the corks to create stripes. Next, arrange the tiles in the desired pattern and then paint. Now, take off the tape.

6. Mouse pad

Simply cut the cork to your desired size and glue them on top of a piece of thick cork paper. While it’s best to keep things simple, you can create any shape you want.

Are you looking to spice up the kitchen? Are you tired of your boring kitchen backsplash? You don’t have to be boring. You just need a piece of wood that is the right size for the area you want to cover. The next step is to glue half-cut corks on each piece of wood until you have covered every inch. A power drill, cork trivets, and glue are all you will need. Place trivets on top and press down. Next, use your drill bit to drill holes. Fill each hole with a writing instrument.
